'Twas a day past Thanksgiving, My dog was asleep, But I picked up my camera and upward she leaped and raced to the door as I reached for my hat and flew to the car in 2 seconds flat!
She wagged and she smiled as we coasted on down through the village of Incline, our favorite small town, then South down the Highway though the air was so chilly, To miss such a morning would be rather silly!
Past Hidden! Past Island! Past Harbor of Sand! To rock of the bonsai! T'was where we would land. Now jump out, you doggy! The sun won't be waitin'! To catch the best light we can't be hesitatin'!
O'er boulders we scrambled- my legs, they were brambled! (While in my warm kitchen, the eggs remained scrambled!) Tho my fingers half-froze as my tripod was raised, The sun hit the rocks as I looked on amazed, And my pooch spoke to me, as I captured the sight- "Merry photos to all, and to all a good light!"
